THE Bulls were shown the harsh reality of rugby league life at the Summer Bash in Blackpool.

Kear's men succumbed to a 21-14 loss to local rivals Halifax, despite a emphatic victory in the Coral Challenge Cup against Leeds Rhinos just the week before.

That makes it two defeats in succession in the league, so it will be pivotal that the Bulls get back to winning ways when travelling to play Featherstone this weekend.

The Bradford Boys beat Fev at home in the first game of the Betfred Championship season, but it was a tight affair.

Bulls need all the support they can get and will hope the army of fans who travelled to Blackpool will ready for service again.

If you're making the journey to Pontecarlo, we've got you covered with this away guide.

TRAVEL

By train:

There is a railway station right next to the ground, which means this is a relatively simple journey.

Unfortunately there isn't a direct train from Bradford Interchange, so as is often the case, you'll be heading for Leeds Railway Station.

From there, it's a direct Northern train to Featherstone Railway Station, but be aware that these are every two hours on a Sunday.

Trains on this specific route also don't show up on the Trainline App/website or on the Northern website when searching for tickets or using the journey planner - so be aware of this.

It does show up when checking the timetable for the route with your best bet being the 12.26pm train, or the 2.25pm one - although you might be pushing it with the latter.

The journey takes roughly 28 minutes and Featherstone is your fourth stop.

Once at the railway station, it's a four minute walk to the ground.

Head out of the station and turn right onto Station Lane, before taking your second left onto Post Office Road.

It's then your next left, where you'll see the ground.

By car:

This one typically takes between 35 and 45 minutes depending on the traffic you'll be using the M62.

Once you're onto the M62 westbound, it's roughly 15 miles before you'll look to turn off.

At junction 31, you need to take the A655 exit to Castleford/Normanton.

Then use the left two lanes to turn right towards the A655, before using the left lane to turn slightly right onto the A655.

Keep left to stay on that road, then you'll want to go straight on at the next three roundabouts.

At the fourth, take the second exit and stay on Havertop Lane (B6134) before taking your first left onto Loscoe Lane (B6134).

Keep on this road by taking your next left, then turn right onto Featherstone Lane.

Follow this round to the right, before taking a left onto Station Lane.

It's then another left onto Post Office Road, and another two lefts from there, where you'll see the stadium.

PARKING

There are more than 300 secure car parking spaces available on site.

It costs £5 per car and is on a first-come, first-served basis, but the site does have eight acres of over-spill.

PUBS

Featherstone is relatively small, so the options are more limited, but here's a pick of the bunch:

Last Orders Featherstone: This is your closest option and is right next to the railway station (just a four minute walk from the ground). The pub has a 4.1 star rating from 102 reviews.

No 1 Club: Just an eight minute walk from the ground (a little further north than Last Orders) this pub is open until 12am and has a pool table.

The Junction: An eight-minute walk from the stadium, this one is as traditional as they come. It's a good spot if you're wanting to move around too as just up the road is The Travellers Rest and The White House slightly further on.
