TEAM unity has been key to Bulls' fine form, according to young ace Jordan Lilley.

The Odsal side are on a crest of a wave following their Challenge Cup upset over Leeds Rhinos and are sixth in the Betfred Championship, with the defeat at leaders Toronto Wolfpack two weeks ago their only loss in six league games.

The 22-year-old half-back was voted man of then match against his former club Leeds and is now keen to extend his stay at Bulls after initially joining on loan this season.

Lilley says the Bulls squad enjoy each other's company both on and off the field as they build key relationships.

The fans' favourite adds that he likes to interact with the Bulls' faithful and says the squad are working class men working for each other.

Lilley said: "We are a tight-knit group, we are all mates. There are no big egos. That's what brings us together; we are working class people earning a living together. We do everything as a tight-knit group. That shows on the field.

"I will stay at Bulls if it's right. I have a house, mortgage and car to pay for. I've got to be financially stable. I play rugby league because I love it. I will sit down with Bradford and I'm in talks with them. I want to stay at Bradford, I'm building good relationships with the backroom staff and fans.

"I get tweets daily that they love me and want me to stay. It's good to see they love me. We are just working class people and we just like to give back to the fans.

"I'm looking forward to Blackpool and the Bulls fans making noise."

Lilley showed great leadership skills against the Rhinos, rallying his team-mates throughout the upset victory. But he insists he has no hard feelings for Leeds as he looks to move on and up with Bradford.

He added: "We got the win and that's all that matters.

"It was brilliant. You could not have written a better script. The backroom staff got us in the best mentality.

"There's still lots to do in the Challenge Cup, but it proves that we can do great things. It would be a dream come true to get to the Challenge Cup final. It will be a tough challenge against Halifax.

"It was massive for me to get the win against my old club. But the biggest thing for me was to get it for Bradford Bulls.

"I have no hard feelings for Leeds. They gave me my debut and a World Club Challenge shot against Jonathan Thurston. I hope Rhinos can start climbing the ladder.

"I got the man of the match award, but Rowan (Milnes) was fantastic that day against Leeds. We will keep building that relationship that will hopefully lead Bradford back to the Super League."
