BULLS Women have three players featuring for Yorkshire in the first match of the Origin series against Lancashire at this weekend's Summer Bash.

Amy Hardcastle, Savannah Andrade and Leah Jones are in the squad for the Roses clash which kicks off a bumper Sunday of sporting action at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road at 10.45am before six Championship sides go head to head.

The trio have been rewarded for their impressive start to the 2019 Women's Super League season - with Kirsty Moroney and Beth Sutcliffe's Bulls side having gained three wins from their opening four matches, including a 40-4 victory at York City Knights last week which saw Stacey Greenwood score four tries and Debbie Smith two.

Hardcastle has continued her prolific form from 2018 by scoring seven tries in the opening four rounds this season, including one against the Knights, with wing partner Andrade also crossing the whitewash in the wins over Featherstone Rovers and Wakefield Trinity.

Meanwhile, Jones has assumed goal-kicking duties this term.

The Origin fixture is being streamed live on the OURLEAGUE app.

The trio's selection means seven Bulls players in total are set to feature in the Roses battles, with Academy quartet Millie Taylor, Olivia Wood, Evie Kilburn and Casey Rhodes also representing the White Rose this weekend.

The under-19s fixture against Lancashire takes place at Rochdale Mayfield tonight (7.30pm).
