BRADFORD Bulls will be holding an Armed Forces Day celebration on Sunday, June 23 as part of their Betfred Championship clash with Halifax RLFC – with the club launching a 10,000 for £10 campaign.

The first 10,000 tickets for the fixture will be priced at just £10 – with a fundraising target of £10,000 for the Armed Forces Benevolent Fund - The Soldiers’ Charity.

Prior to the two sides doing battle, a special curtain-raiser will take place with a hybrid Bradford v Halifax Women’s side facing off against a select UK Armed Forces Women’s team.

A special fan-zone will be positioned within the stadium with a host of activities for kids to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

Pre-match entertainment comes courtesy of the 4th Battalion – Yorkshire Regiments Marching Band who will be performing.

Following the performance, a skydiving team will deliver the matchball to the day’s VIPs and match officials ahead of kick-off.

Royal Armoured Corps, Royal Dragoon Guards, Light Dragoons, 2nd Battalion – The Yorkshire Regiment, 4th Regiment – The Royal Artillery, 6th Regiment – Royal Logistic Corps, 4th Battalion – Yorkshire Regiments Marching Band, Royal Logistic Corps’ Silver Stars Sky Diving Team and Army Foundation College (AFC) – Harrogate will attend the event at Odsal.

Amputees Andy Reid and Ben Parkinson, who were severely injured while on operations in Afghanistan, will be in attendance.

The units will be showcasing an array of weaponry and vehicles – with a number of exciting announcements to come in due course.
