THE Bulls are staying tight-lipped over strong suggestions that Olly Wilson is poised to join Huddersfield.

The club have declined to comment on the reports that a six-figure fee has been agreed with the Super League club for the 20-year-old prospect.

It is thought that the England academy international is close to becoming the latest from the Odsal youth production line to move on.

Wilson made his first Bradford start in the Challenge Cup win at Keighley last week after missing the opening weeks of the campaign through injury.

He had previously come off the bench for his senior debut in the final game of last season against Hemel.

The young prop also played his part in the England Academy squad that beat Australian Schoolboys last year.

York coach James Ford, who is involved with the international set-up, said on Twitter: “Potentially some player this kid.”

Wilson, who joined the Bulls from Greetland Allrounders at under-16 level, signed his first pro deal in 2017 alongside Reiss Butterworth - who joined Huddersfield on a three-year deal last October for an undisclosed fee - and Evan Hodgson.

The prop has one more year on his contract at Odsal after this one.

Meanwhile, the Bulls women’s team have three players in the England national performance squad that has been announced today.

Head coach Craig Richards has named a 32-strong group, including all 20 who travelled to face France in October.

Among the newcomers in the squad is Leah Jones, one of the try-scorers when the Bulls demolished Stanningley 44-16 in the 2018 women’s shield final.

Amy Hardcastle, who opened the new Super League campaign with a hat-trick against Featherstone on Sunday, and fellow scorer Savannah Andrade are also included.

England’s international fixtures for this year will be revealed at a later date.
