DANE Chisholm has spoken of his delight at returning from injury in this week's reserve grade 32-20 win over Keighley Cougars at Cougar Park.

The 28-year-old featured at full-back in the opening half of the contest as the Bulls racked up a 20-6 lead courtesy of tries from Cobi Green, Will Adams (2) and Josh Rickett.

Chisholm then moved to half-back as the reserves held firm against a Cougar onslaught – eventually emerging as 32-20 winners.

Having made his return to action, the Bradford number seven is now eager to return to his best form in John Kear’s first-team line-up.

“I am happy to be back and get some minutes under my belt – I played full-back in the first half then had a run out at half-back in the second,” said Chisholm.

“It was a good run out and I just wanted to come out and play.

“There are a few things to fix moving forward but it was good to play the full 80 and to play with some of the younger lads. There are some really good lads at this club.

“The reserve grade lets these lads play minutes. You cannot get any better without playing and I am glad we had this game to do that.

“I just want to get fitter and fitter now and work towards getting back to that level and getting the call-up.

“I am ready to go whenever I get the nod. The body feels good and, although I was a bit rusty, hopefully with some more minutes I can get back to my best soon."
