DANE Chisholm hopes to be back in action within three weeks for Bulls.
A scan on his injured knee revealed a cartilage problem which will keep him out until next month.
He tweeted: "Quick update for everyone who’s asked. Hopefully back playing in 2-3 weeks. I have a full-thickness cartilage defect in my lateral femoral condyle. Basically have a dint in my bone and some small cartilage damage. Nothing serious, just frustrating, I wanna play footy! Be back ASAP."
The Australian has missed the last three games for Bulls, whose half-back injury crisis deepened on Sunday when Jordan Lilley failed a late fitness test with a dead leg.
That meant John Kear's squad were without all four recognised pivots in their 25-20 defeat at Widnes.
In addition to Chisholm and Lilley, Joe Keyes remains sidelined with a back problem while Rowan Milnes is expected to miss another month with a knee tendon injury.
Second row Elliot Minchella filled in alongside hooker Matty Wildie in the halves during Sunday's defeat.
