DANE Chisholm is targeting a strong start and a big performance on Sunday as the rivalry against York City Knights reignites.

The half-back starred as John Kear’s men beat Featherstone Rovers and Swinton Lions, before missing last week’s defeat at Sheffield due to the birth of his daughter, Nyah Kiki.

The 28-year-old looks set to return to first-team action this week, with the visit of James Ford’s men heralding the next instalment of an intense rivalry which sees both sides boasting two-point victories against each other last season.

The birth of his daughter was a ‘blessing’ and the Bulls No 6 now sets his sights on a ‘massive fixture’ this weekend.

“I am over the moon – it was one of the best experiences of my life and it is a blessing,” said Chisholm.

“I wish I could have helped the boys (against Sheffield) but it would not have been fair on them to play but this week is massive now.

“We have built a big rivalry with them, we had two massive games last year, two big crowds and two very close scores so it's all to play for.

“They are coming in off the back of a big win but hopefully we can turn it around after last week and put in a big performance.

“It’s going to be a big one for sure – a big occasion for everyone involved and it will go down to who wants it more on the day.

“Playing at home we want to play well in front of our fans and hopefully we can start strong and keep a home run going this year.”
