Bradford Bulls coach Francis Cummins is considering giving 20-year-old prop Ben Evans his Super League debut against leaders Wigan at Odsal on Sunday.

Evans joined the Bulls on a season-long loan from Warrington in the winter but missed the first three months of the campaign after undergoing hip surgery.

He recovered in time to make Bradford’s 19-man squad for last Saturday’s game at London Broncos but missed out on the final selection.

“He may well play this week or, if not, he may get a run in the cup-tie (at Rochdale) the week after,” Cummins said.

“The problem he has is that he hasn’t been able to train over Easter because the team weren’t training because of the games and obviously he can’t play (on dual-registration) for Dewsbury because he’s on loan to us.

“He needs to get a week’s training with contact and we’ll make a decision.”

Wigan are expected to welcome back forwards Sean O’Loughlin, Lee Mossop and Harrison Hansen from injury, as well as goal-kicking winger Pat Richards, who missed last Sunday’s win over Wakefield after being delayed on his return from his brother’s wedding in Australia.
