Bulls scrum half Jarrod Sammut produced a top-drawer performance against London Broncos on Saturday.

He scored four tries in 18 minutes and totalled 30 points in Bradford’s encouraging 46-20 Super League victory at Adams Park.

But the 26-year-old Maltese international was a modest hero in the aftermath, even revealing: “I would not say I was the best player on the pitch.”

Threatening in the first half, when he linked effectively with Brett Kearney, and devastating in the second, Sammut gave the credit for the victory to the big men.

Despite scorching through for a solo try, getting on the end of passes by Chev Walker and Elliot Kear and diving onto a Danny Addy grubber, the former Crusader said: “There are another 12 players on the field and we just stuck in there and came out on top.

“The forwards got us into the position and I just did my job.”

The Bulls, who were yesterday drawn at Rochdale Hornets in the fourth round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup, will now turn their attention to Sunday’s exciting home match against leaders Wigan Warriors.

Bradford are currently third and Sammut said: “Wigan are a good side but we don’t want to peak too early.”

While the Bulls face third-tier cup opposition in Kingstone Press Championship One outfit Hornets, Keighley Cougars have drawn holders Warrington at home for the second year in a row.

The Wolves gained a 44-18 fourth-round win at Cougar Park last April on their way to winning the trophy at Wembley for the third time in four years.

Last year’s beaten finalists Leeds, the current Super League champions, have been paired with Castleford in one of two all-Super League ties.

The Tigers beat the Rhinos 14-12 in round two of Super League in February but are without a win since then and are currently bottom of the table.

Hull KR, who beat St Helens 22-14 at Craven Park in Super League on Sunday, will host the same opposition in the other all top-flight clash.

Tetley’s Challenge Cup – fourth-round draw: Wigan v Leigh, Hemel v Wakefield, Hunslet v Catalan Dragons, Rochdale v Bradford, Batley v Huddersfield, Hull v North Wales, Sheffield Eagles v Dewsbury, London Broncos v Featherstone, Halifax v Barrow, Widnes v Doncaster, Keighley v Warrington, Leeds v Castleford, University of Gloucestershire v Salford, York v Toulouse, Whitehaven v Workington, Hull KR v St Helens. Ties to be played weekend of April 20-21.
