BRADFORD City's under-19s earned their seventh win in eight EFL Youth Alliance North East division games - with an emphatic 4-1 triumph over Rotherham United.

The young Bantams netted two goals in each half to ensure they picked up a victory at the Graham Solley Sports Development Centre and remained three points off top, with a game in hand.

The visitors opened the scoring when Dylan Youmbi picked out Jack Wilson on the edge of the penalty area, who struck a left-footed effort into the bottom corner of the goal.

Martin Drury’s team then doubled their advantage when Louie Chorlton’s low cross was tapped in from close range by Cole Roberts.

The Millers pulled a goal back when a cross into the penalty area from the right-hand side was headed into the back of the net. However, the away side remained in front heading into the interval.

City restored their two-goal cushion on the hour mark when Wilson’s dangerous cross from the left-hand side was bundled in by Youmbi.

The Bantams added a fourth to complete the scoring with 20 minutes to go, sealing another impressive three points.

Olivier Sukiennicki’s run forward ended with his effort being denied by the goalkeeper, but Bobby Pointon was on hand to tap in the rebound and make sure of the win.
