A CERTAIN League Two club are earning themselves quite the reputation for going after players who have previous with Bradford City.

Kelvin Mellor's move to Carlisle United yesterday means the Blues have now had eight ex-Bantams on their books across the last two seasons.

Nat Knight-Percival, Omari Patrick, Callum Guy, Joe Riley, Danny Devine, Dean Furman, and Jordan Gibson have all found themselves at Brunton Park in recent times.

The former is probably the most familiar name amongst the Valley Parade faithful. Knight-Percival played 135 times for City, scoring eight goals in his three years at the club.

After a season in Cumbria, the centre half joined eventual playoff winners Morecambe before landing at Tranmere Rovers this summer.

Patrick arrived in Bradford with so much promise in 2017 but struggled to cement his place under several mangers as he was shipped out on loan to Yeovil Town and Wrexham.

The forward went to Carlisle in January 2020 - and upon the expiration of his 18-month contract League One Burton Albion snapped him up.

Furman came to the Bantams on loan for the 2008-09 season. A Chelsea academy product, he made 31 appearances while on loan from Rangers.

The South African international played for Oldham, Doncaster and returned to his homeland for five years before signing on at Carlisle last season.

He has since dropped down the divisions and is currently at Altrincham.

Over half of the aforementioned players still ply their trade at United with new recruits Mellor and Gibson joining Guy, Devine and Riley.
