JUSSI Jaaskelainen will not be joining City - after signing a one-year deal with Wigan this morning.

The League One rivals snapped up the veteran keeper as a back-up for Richard O'Donnell, another stopper who was in Phil Parkinson's sights.

Jaaskelainen, 40, spent just over a week training with the Bantams and played the second half of their friendly at Burnley.

The T&A understands that the Finn was not City's only target and they have now been linked with Chris Kirkland, who had been touted with a possible return to Wigan.
