Bradford Disability Football Club will swell their coffers from the sale of a limited edition City badge.

Only 500 pin badges have produced by the Bantams Banter podcast – and half of those have already been pre-ordered by collectors.

Dominic Newton-Collinge, one half of the award-winning podcast duo with Tom Fletcher, said: “We have met a number of the players at BDFC and watched as they live their lives to the fullest.

“You can see football and Bradford City are a big part of that. You can see the difference being a part of the club makes to their lives.”

BDFC were founded in 2002 with a grant of £1,000 and eight players. It has now swelled to more than 100 members aged from six to 60.

The disability club is a part of City’s community foundation under the chairmanship of Ian Ormondroyd.

He said : “It’s amazing that our work has been recognised by Bantams Banter. The podcasts are widely enjoyed by the fans and BDFC players.

“The money will be used to ensure the ongoing provision of training. We are growing so fast, we have a real challenge to meet the needs of the new players joining every year.”

The badges, which are available in various colours, cost £3. They will be on sale at Saturday’s home game against Leyton Orient as well as at Bantamsbanter.com.
