Scholemoor Junior Football Club have been formed in what is described as a "deprived area of Bradford".
Their playing kit has already been sponsored by Scholemoor Beacon, who are responsible for the regeneration of the old artificial grass pitch at Lidget Green.
However, the club's Donna Taylor confessed: "We have found that some parents find it hard to provide the right equipment i.e. boots and shinpads for the kids.
"We do have a few pairs to pool but not as many as we need.
"Could members of the public please make a donation to us as we believe all kids should be able to play football. We just need a little help."
Mrs Taylor can be contacted at donnataylor21@hotmail.com and the club already have a web-site scholemoorjfc.co.uk.
