BRADFORD Grammar School's strong rugby 11s season has been backed up by 14 pupils being chosen for Yorkshire, Yorkshire Carnegie or the Independent Schools Rugby's Northern Lambs.

Silsden's Rowan Beckett was selected for the North-Midlands Lambs Under-18s and was part of the winning team against the Southern Lambs, while Keighley's Harry Webster was picked for Northern Lambs Under-13s.

County call-ups went to James Johnson (Bradford) and Harry Sagar (Pudsey) at under-18 level, and Ilkley's Isaac Greene for the under-17s and Harry Boyd for the under-16s.

Lewis Ebert-Moran (Bramhope), Zander Macfarlane (Brighouse), Barney Vaughan (Ilkley) and Robbie Williams (Ilkley) were all selected for Yorkshire under-15s, while Will Bowie (Guiseley), James Pinder (Bradford), Ross Kirtland and Struan Mackenzie (both Ilkley) were chosen for Yorkshire Carnegie under-18s.

Meanwhile, Will Bowie will also find out in the next couple of weeks if he is part of the Scotland under-17 squad.

All the boys are currently enjoying training in preparation for their rugby sevens season, which starts next Wednesday (February 11) against Ampleforth.
