BD3 United under-15s were crowned Craven, Aire & Wharfe League champions after a nail-biting finish to the season.

Needing a point to clinch their first title, they beat current champions Idle 3-1 at Myra Shay.

United came out all guns blazing in the second half and opened the scoring through Hamza Khan.

Mohammad Israr doubled the lead before man of the match Mohammad Hamza put the seal on the victory, which completed a league and Bradford & District Cup double.

Prospect Juniors secured a place in the final of the under-13 Invitation Cup against Embsay after coming back from a two goals down to beat Burley Trojans 4-3 in a pulsating semi-final.

Prospect’s scorers were Johnny Durkan, Jordon Farrell (2) and Nathan Speight, while Jack Hatton netted a hat-trick for Burley.

Bradford Tigers defeated visitors Nab Wood 7-1 to reach the under-14 Invitation Medal semi-final.

Playing with just ten men, and with injured skipper James Townend able to do little more than hobble, their goals came from man-of-the-match Jordan Kitching (3), the tricky Lucas Clayden (2), Tom Oman and Gage Faulkner, who set them on their way with a thumping volley.

It later transpired that Oman had broken his left wrist during the game, adding to an injury-list that includes fellow broken-arm victim Danny Chapman.

Tigers will now be at home to Thackley on Thursday night.

Tigers under-15s completed their programme with an emphatic 7-0 Invitational Medal home victory over Eldwick. Goals came from match-point winner Harry Hall (4), Zubair Shakeel, Danny Boyd and Matthew Knights.
