BD3 United Under-14s have reached the semi-finals of the West Riding County FA Junior Trophy after coming from behind to beat Huddersfield League leaders Clifton Rangers 2-1.

United hit back via Usamah Iqbal and Suleman Khan, whose big downwind clearance bounced over the Rangers keeper.

Prospect Juniors returned to the top of the Craven, Aire & Wharfe League Under-13 D Division after an 8-6 win at third-placed Nab Wood.

Scorers for Prospect, who were trailing 6-4 with 12 minutes to go, were Jordon Farrell (2), Nathan Speight (2), Johnny Durkan, Liam O’Sullivan, Dan Woffenden and a spectacular 30-yarder from Brad Tomlinson. Left back Joe Fitzpatrick excelled for the winners.

Bradford Tigers Under-14s gave their finest defensive display of the season in defeating Menston 7-0 in Division C.

Having taken a 5-0 lead downhill on a Crag Road United pitch that was in remarkably good condition, Tigers then kept a clean sheet uphill and into a strong wind.

Goals for the second-placed team, who had a substitute keeper in Dillon Graham, came from Zivo Takavarasha (2), Lucas Clayden, Gage Faulkner, Lucas Davey, skipper James Townend and man of the match Tom Oman.

In Division 15B, the Tigers' management were annoyed that all 11 players were not putting in the same effort in their 3-1 home defeat against Leeds City.

Hassan Sabir put Tigers ahead with a brilliantly-judged 30-yarder downwind but they conceded an equaliser which they believed was offside and had a good penalty shout turned down.

Leeds City’s keeper shone in the second half and his team scored twice in a game that Tigers could have drawn.

Harry Hall got their match point and Joe Stewart the managers’ man of the match.

Braces from midfielders Aaron Duckett, the second of which was a header, and man of the match Kai Wood gave Tigers’ under-nines a 4-2 win at Nab Wood in the Keybury League.

But it needed an excellent save from keeper Ella Jones to keep Tigers ahead at 3-2 in the second half.

Horton Foxes U11s won 5-1 at Wortley Blues to progress in the Garforth League Supplementary Cup.

Having gone a goal down, the Foxes made their pressure pay off with a Daniel Dockray strike before half-time.

Then, with the Wortley goal under constant threat, Sam Thomas scored a spectacular volley from a Conor Rankin throw in, and the floodgates opened.

Further goals came from Rhys Delaney, Rankin and Thomas.
