Krishan Patel bagged a hat-trick as Bradford United's under-nines claimed only their second Keybury League victory of the season.

United fell behind to visiting Long Lee but hit back strongly as their game at Hanson School survived the bad weather which claimed the bulk of the area's latest junior matches.

Patel's treble included a penalty after Alex Bannon was brought down, while goalkeeper Sheeky Halstead's fine display helped secure the points.

It was a good day for United as a club, with their three other sides in action all avoiding defeat as well.

The under-11s led the way with a 10-0 victory at home to Weston Lane, with Jack O'Reilly and Zak Davey in top goal-scoring form.

O'Reilly scored the first, crossed for the second - which went in off a defender - and added another two before the interval, with Davey and Jake Horsman also on target.

The second half then saw Joseph Fawcett make it 7-0 before Davey added the final three goals for a personal haul of four.

United's under-sevens won 1-0 at home to Horsforth A, with Josh Hall crossing for Joel Steele to head the winner. Jonathan Holmes was also in impressive form for the hosts.

The club's under-tens had defender Elliott Phillips in top nick as they earned a 1-1 draw at Gargrave, with Josh Finan dribbling through to score for United.

Vision Whites extended their lead at the top of the under-nine blue division to six points with a 3-1 win at mid-table Silsden A.

The hosts took an early lead, only for Tom Bentham to equalise before half-time.

Two close-range efforts from Caden Wilkinson and James Dennison then secured the points for Vision in the second half.

Faeed Hussain led the goals charge with eight as BD3 United under-13s romped to a 20-0 home cup victory over Myrtle Park in the Craven League.

It was new club United's first-ever cup tie and they certainly made an impression, scoring ten times in each half.

Man of the match Hussain's eight strikes included a super 25-yard chip, while there was also a hat-trick from Zeeshan Mohammed.

The remaining goals were supplied by Mohammed Adnaan (2), Eesa Iqbal (2), Zeeshan Hussain (2), Itisham Hasin (2) and Tayib Ali.

Albion Sports under-tens returned to Garforth League action after the Christmas break and their rustiness showed in a defeat and a draw at Pontefract St Josephs.

The white team lost 4-0, handing St Josephs a league double, with only the efforts of keeper Randeep Uppal denying the hosts a bigger winning margin.

Uppal was named man of the match, with Akash Ali and Kamron Basi having the best attempts to gain a consolation goal for Sports.

Albion's blue team restored a little pride with a 0-0 draw against the same opponents and were unlucky not to snatch maximum points.

Is-Haq Khan and Karamjit Basi both went close to scoring, while man of match Mawaz Furqan put in a tireless display and new signing Bilal Hamid made the Pontefract defence work overtime.
