Bradford Park Avenue Eagles are flying high again after an 8-2 victory at Sutton.

They are back on top of Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League Under-12 Division D, with four of the goals coming from 30 yards out!

After a couple of good chances went begging, Eisa Faulding gave the visitors the lead when he headed home at the near post, and the advantage was soon doubled after Kian Hutchinson's cross was volleyed into the roof of the net by Danny Frost.

Although Avenue keeper Jordan Moorhouse had to make a couple of smart saves, they were generally on top and went 3-0 ahead from Jack Holroyd's stunning 30-yard free-kick.

The second half started the same way with another stunning 30-yard strike, this time from Avenue's man of the match Hassan Ali, and it became 5-0 when Zack Sangster finished clinically.

Sutton grabbed two goals in as many minutes but the leaders soon regrouped, and from Josh Barrett's goal-bound free-kick, captain Tyler Rhodes got the slightest of flicks to make it 6-2.

Barrett got on the scoresheet when his 30-yard shot bounced over the keeper, and on a day of long-range goals for Avenue, Rhodes completed the scoring with yet another 30-yard strike as they warmed up for a potential title decider against Campion.

In Division 12A, Avenue Hawks defeated visitors Idle 5-1, Stuart Lee getting a hat-trick of breakaway goals in the second half.

Man of the match Kayden Allen opened the scoring with a cool finish before Idle equalised with a good header from a corner.

The home side took the lead again on the stroke of half-time, Jack Halmshaw finishing from close range.

As Avenue bossed the second half, Levi Bowers hit the bar twice from outside the box, and Dan Frazer also went close for the hosts.

In the Keybury Alarms Youth LeagueBaildon Dynamos under-sevens beat Bradford Park Avenue in a very close game with goals from Harvey Menzies, George Robinson and man of the match Ben Cockcroft.

It was a miserable weekend for Dudley Hill Rangers, with the under-eights once again losing by an odd goal, this time 3-2 at Long Lee.

The under-sevens were cruising it by 4-1 at Albion Sports with braces for Adam Morris and Joshua Whitford, but with just ten minutes remaining all but man of the match Jack Moffatt give up and Sports bounced back to triumph 8-4.

Albion Sports under-eights took a deserved lead via man of the match Casey Breaks in an entertaining match at Silsden, who soon levelled after a neat passing move.

Two long-range Sohail Mahmood thunderbolts made it 3-1 to Albion but once again Silsden responded and finished the half 4-3 up.

Albion equalised early in the second half as Breaks bagged a second, and a draw would have been a fair result, but Silsden scored three late goals to run out 7-4 victors.

Title-chasing Westwood Jets under-tens overcame a strong Silsden side 6-3, although the latter went 2-0 ahead.

The Jets then woke up and scored three before half-time including a stunner by Lewis Dunn.

In the second half, Westwood scored three more, Dunn finishing with four goals, Jacob Slater and Thomas Cooper making up the tally.

Baildon Dynamos under-tens won 7-0 against Calverley, with two goals each from Will Robinson and joint man of the match Charlie Menzies and a hat-trick from man of the match Louis Turner.

Captain Tom Storey may not have got on the scoresheet but he was a worthy man-of-the-match  for Thackley Dragons under-14s in their 8-1 Harrogate Junior League victory at Lawnswood YMCA.

Goals came from Danny Grimshaw (3), Ryan Carre (2), Jack I’Anson (2) and Joe Storey, and the Dragons are likely to end their debut season in the league in third place.
