NORTHCLIFFE assistant Elliott Lister got off to a flying start by winning his first professional tournament.
The 20-year-old finished top of the leaderboard at Hessle following a three-over-par round in wet and windy conditions.
The former Halifax/Huddersfield junior captain has been developing his game under Northcliffe professional Duncan Moore.
Moore said: "Elliott started lessons with me at the back end of last year. He hits the ball a long way and it was a great effort to start off with a win in his first event."
Lister is currently seventh in the Yorkshire PGA Trainees Order of Merit.
