BRADFORD (Park Avenue) will take on a side relegated from the EFL in a pre-season friendly.

Mark Bower’s side will entertain Scunthorpe United at the Horsfall Stadium in a clash on Tuesday, July 26 (kick-off 7.30pm).

Scunthorpe United will be hoping for promotion at the first attempt from the National League, as their 72-year membership in the Football League came to an end earlier this month.

The Iron finished bottom of League Two after a sorry season which saw Keith Hill’s men finish with just 26 points from their 46 games.

The Avenue clash will not be Scunthorpe’s only pre-season trip across from North Lincolnshire to West Yorkshire this summer.

They will travel to Farsley Celtic for a warm-up match on Saturday, July 30 (3pm ko).

Tickets for Avenue’s clash with Scunthorpe are priced £5 for adults, £3 concessions.

Meanwhile, Avenue has announced that they are temporarily stopping their collections for the club’s Ukraine appeal.

In a statement on the club’s website, Avenue said: “We’d like to thank each and every person who has made a donation to our collections for Ukraine.

“The support we’ve seen has been incredible and we are sure the Ukrainian people are extremely thankful for your efforts.

“Unfortunately, due to the amount of donations and limited storage space, we are stopping collections for now while we catch up on deliveries. Stay tuned for updates by following us across our social medias.”
