Some Bradford & Bingley supporters reckon they are too good to go down from SSE National League Three North.

But Bees secretary Nick Patterson doesn't entirely buy that, saying: "We need to prove that we ARE too good to go down, then we can say that."

Bradford & Bingley's 26-11 defeat at Waterloo last weekend, coupled with Birkenhead Park's win at Percy Park, has left them only seven points above safety.

"We have seven matches to go," said Patterson, "and we have targeted two as definite victories, including Saturday's match at home to (bottom club) West Hartlepool."

The Bees have named Matt Cochrane at hooker, Tom Kanouros at scrum half and Tom Bills at full back, with Henry Paul switching to inside centre.

Patterson explained: "Matt at hooker is like an extra back-row forward, while we have 19st of Romanian muscle in Eddie Pegalu to come off the bench and cover all three front-row positions.

"Also Tom has played scrum half for Macclesfield before."
