Hull, who included former Bulls forward Lee Radford at centre, just held out to win their Centurion Yorkshire Cup semi-final 15-11 at Cleckheaton tonight.
Home points came from a Martin Woodhead try and two Iain Gordon penalties but replacement Jonno Marshall went close to a try and there was also a late knock-on when the hosts were pressing.
Wharfedale won last night’s other semi-final 22-20 at Huddersfield, thanks to tries by Will Bell, James Druce and Andy Hodgson, who added a late drop goal.
Huddersfield got a last-minute try but it was too late.
