Baildon have signed scrum half Ben Newton from Derbyshire Barbarians.
The ambitious Yorkshire Division Three club also welcome back flanker James Fox after a two-year absence from Jenny Lane.
Further recruitment is in the pipeline.
Baildon started their warm-up matches with a 45-15 home victory over Halifax, scoring eight tries and conceding three.
Among the try-scorers were winger Joe Moore (2) and lock Dave Hoyle.
On Saturday, a second-third XV will travel to Wibsey, who return to Jenny Lane next Wednesday for a Yorkshire Silver Trophy tie (6.30).
