Otley winger Curtis Wilson – a season-long loanee from Leeds Carnegie – has been named in the England Counties XV squad to tour Spain from June 1-12.

He joins Wharfedale skipper Rob Baldwin, formerly of Otley, in the 26-strong party.

The England Counties XV, the representative flagship of the County Championship and the game outside the Premiership, has remained true to its traditions by selecting players from 22 different clubs.

Seventeen players are England Counties first-timers.

The tour will include games against a Madrid XV (Saturday), a Castilla Leon Union XV (Wednesday in Salamanca) and a match against a Spain XV (Saturday, June 11 in Valladolid).

Meanwhile, Leeds Carnegie prop Mike MacDonald has been named in the United States squad for the Churchill Cup next month.

In what should be excellent preparation for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, the Eagles take on England Saxons on Saturday at Northampton before meeting Tonga next Wednesday at Esher.
