Having lost Dan Hart to a cartilage injury last weekend and his replacement Phil Woodhead to a shoulder injury, Wharfedale could well be short of firepower out wide for Saturday's National League One trip to Tynedale.

Although the tension for the 777 fans at home to Otley last Saturday was typical of the season so far for the Greens, any reward in the north-east is again likely to be hard-earned as the Dalesmen bid for a third successive win.

The Northumbrians are traditionally very difficult to beat on their home turf.

Last season the Dalesmen suffered their heaviest defeat of the season – 55-18 – at the Corbridge ground.

Luke Gray, recovered from a pre-season injury, replaces the perenially unlucky Hart, while prop rotation is the only difference in the forwards.

Tongan international Talite Vaioleti, who wowed the crowd last week with a hair-style that made him look even more intimidating than usual, therefore continues at No 8 but skipper Rob Baldwin is not available for the bench.

Wharfedale (at Tynedale): A Whaites; L Gray, C Malherbe, A Hodgson, S Horsfall; T Davidson, S Cottrell; M Chivers, I Larkin, B Hooper, O Renton, R Rhodes, D Hughes, T Vaioleti, D Solomi.
