Cleckheaton have selected Ross Hayden at full back for their home North Division One match against Penrith on Saturday, despite him being poleaxed last week at Sheffield Tigers.
And while Jonny West will be out until after Christmas with a fractured tibia, it is hoped that No 8 Ryan Burrows will return before the festive break as his ankle is only severely sprained.
West played on for five minutes last weekend with his broken leg before coming off.
