CLUBS in the Northern Division of the RFU have a deadline of 5pm on Monday, March 18 to vote for a potential revamp of the league structure for next season.

At the moment most clubs are in 14-team divisions but the RFU think that 12-team sections, providing 22 rather than 26 league fixtures in a campaign.

Bradford Salem’s chairman Neil Klenk is not keen on the proposed change, which will also be voted on by other counties in the Northern division.

He said: “The problems seem to have occurred in Lancashire and Cumbria, but why should Yorkshire be penalised for other areas’ problems?”
