BURNLEY have called off their festive friendly at Keighley on Saturday.
"They are having a tough season (they are third from bottom in North Lancs & Cumbria Division with two wins from 12) and didn't want to risk having any of their players injured," explained Keighley's head coach Dave Duxbury.
"It would have been a good opportunity for some of our Academy lads to have mixed in with the first team, but never mind.
"I don't know about Christmas next year as it is too far ahead and I haven't looked how it falls."
Keighley's next game is therefore their enticing Yorkshire Division One derby at Bradford Salem on Saturday, January 6.
