Leeds Rhinos, Plate winners last year, are hoping to go one better on Rugby League Nines finals night at Headingley Carnegie tomorrow.

Rhinos have named a strong squad after coming through their half of the group stage in second place, just one point behind Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, who inflicted the only defeat of the league stage on the Rhinos in the last festival at Odsal.

Six Stobart Super League clubs – Hull Kingston Rovers, Rhinos, London Broncos, Wakefield, Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors – plus Co-operative Championship champions Featherstone Rovers and a combined Cumbria team will all battle it out after successfully negotiating the group stages.

The Rhinos team includes five players who have played in the first team this season, along with German international Jimmy Keinhorst from Otley, Welsh internationals Ollie Olds and Jack Pring and rugby union convert Curtis Wilson, who has played for Leeds Carnegie and Otley.

The first-teamers are Lee Smith, Ian Kirke, Liam Hood, Brad Singleton and Chris Clarkson.

Meanwhile, Rhinos winger Ben Jones-Bishop will be out for revenge in the contest to find rugby league’s fastest man.

He lost out by the smallest of margins to former Academy team-mate Jodie Broughton last year but he returns looking to claim the title.

He will be up against six other players and full-time referee Thierry Alibert in the 90-metre race that will take place before the finals.

Leeds Rhinos are offering a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer for those purchased today.

Tickets are available for just £10 (adults) and £5 (concessions) by calling Leeds Rhinos' ticket office on 0871-423-1315 (calls charged at 10p per minute – calls from mobiles may vary) or the RFL ticket office on 0844-856-1113.

The fastest-man sprint will also be broadcast live on Premier Sports as part of four-hour rugby league extravaganza with every game from the Nines final night broadcast live from 5.45pm-9.45pm.

Rhinos squad: Jimmy Watson, Jamel Chisholm, Jimmy Keinhorst, Lee Smith, Curtis Wilson, Luke Briscoe, Ollie Olds, Ian Kirke, Liam Hood, Brad Singleton, Chris Clarkson, Alex Foster, Jack Pring.
