A second-half super-show from West Bradford Barbarians saw them overcome Leeds Akkies 44-14 at home in the Yorkshire Men’s League.
Ash Hutchinson opened the scoring for the Barbarians in the fourth minute, Steve Richardson following him over soon after, with Nathan Marshall converting both tries.
Akkies hit back and, although Elliott Collins grabbed the try of the match and Callum Wilcock potted a penalty for Wests, Akkies scored again on the stroke of half-time to make it 20-10.
Three tries in ten minutes at the start of the second half – from hooker Scott Smith, Marshall and Dean Smith – saw the Barbarians pull away, with winger Liam Jackson claiming the final touchdown.
