Bradford Clayton Thunderbirds, who led 18-10 at half-time, were beaten 20-18 by Featherstone Rovers.
Tries from Lauren Stallwood, Danielle Bose and Nicky Parry, with three conversions from Lisa Taylor, helped Bradford build their advantage but tries from Lindsay Anfield and Shona Hoyle and a conversion from Andrea Dobson helped Featherstone back into the game.
In the second half, Featherstone continued to eat into their deficit, with Paula McCourt going over the line before a second try from Anfield, converted by Dobson, snatched the win.
This Sunday, Bradford Clayton Thunderbirds face Copeland Wildcats in Cumbria.
