Rodley Rockets’ head coach Kevin Brock and Stanningley treasurer Brian Sowden are among the 11 names on the long list for the second John Holmes Memorial Award.
The judging panel received nominations from all sectors of the sport throughout Leeds.
The short list of five will be announced next week and the winner declared at the fourth annual City of Leeds Celebration of Rugby League dinner on July 2 in the Long Bar at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
Kirkstall-born Holmes was Leeds’ greatest servant, appearing 625 times in the famous blue and amber colours, winning every domestic honour in the sport and a World Cup winners’ medal in 1972.
The inaugural recipient last year was Guiseley Rangers' chairman David Clayton.
