WEST Bowling maintained top spot in National Conference League Division Two with a 36-20 win at Clock Face Miners.

After going behind to a home try, Joe Hammond touched down on his way to what would be a hat-trick for Bowling.

Louis Fraser and Nick Fontaine also crossed to put Ryan Hunkin's side 18-8 up at half-time.

Tries from Harry Williams and Hammond extended the advantage to 30-8 before Clock Face closed the gap to 16 points.

Hammond clinched his hat-trick and Williams kicked his sixth goal to give Bowling more breathing space before the hosts added a fourth consolation try.

Danny Halmshaw won the man of the match for Wests, whose win kept them above Ince Rose Bridge on points difference after Bridge beat Barrow Island 32-20.

Drighlington lost 22-16 at Dewsbury Celtic in Division Three.

Meanwhile in the Yorkshire Men's League, Wyke continued their march to the Division Two title with a 74-4 hammering of visitors Goole Vikings.

Calvin Barker (4) led the try feast as James Wain, Tevin Campbell, Bradley Peel, Cameron Foster (2), Gary Worley, Coby Kittsen, Alastair Kittsen and Ben Kelly also touched down as Wyke made it 12 wins from 12 to lead the table by two points.

Ryan Goldsborough, James Rhodes, Sam Foulds and Kieron Smith touched down for Wibsey Warriors in their 25-20 defeat at Skirlaugh Bulls.

Queensbury suffered a 40-24 defeat at Cutsyke Raiders in the Premier Division despite tries from Luke Safa, Billy Naylor, Callum Murgatroyd and Thomas Hainsworth.

West Bowling A and Wyke A enjoyed an entertaining friendly at Emsley's Rec, with both sides fielding a mixture of youth and experience.

Bowling started the brightest with two early tries from youngster Hayden Spencer, who made his debut in fine style. Brett Greenwood goaled both for a 12-0 lead.

However, when Jim Kerr intercepted a loose pass to run the length of the field, Wyke gained some momentum and controlled the rest of the first half without scoring again.

A pep talk from the experienced Peter Simpson gave Bowling more focus after the break as they ran in tries from Kyle Moore, and youngsters Bailey Melling and Alfie Hutchinson.

Wyke novice Lamec Superville capped off a fine performance with a quality try late on as Bowling ended 28-8 winners.
