WEST Bowling's fine run in National Conference League Division Two continued with a 66-28 victory at East Leeds.

The Green Army made it five wins in a row in emphatic style. The result puts them just two points off the lead in second place to Ince Rose Bridge.

Bowling took an early lead through an Ellis Bentley try. This was followed by further tries including for Ben Heald (2), Louis Fraser, Danny Halmshaw, Harry Williams (2), Joe Hammond, Bret Greenwood,

Meanwhile, Wyke Academy stormed to a 72-10 victory over Queensbury A in Yorkshire Men's League Division Four.

Wyke captain James Cullen, Tevin Campbell, Callum Scott and Conor Laverick were among the try scorers in their side's romp. McGuinness had his shooting boots on as he fired 12 successful conversions.

Being 42-0 down at the interval, Queensbury's day got even worse in the second half as their number six was sin binned for dissent. Wyke took advantage of having the extra man as Cameron Foster crossed for his second try of the game.

Queensbury would eventually get over the try line as they went in under the sticks but somehow the conversion was missed.

A few knock-ons followed but Wyke through Luke Robinson, Jonny Fawthrop and Callum Scott kept Queensbury out.

After a McGuinness try made it 58-4, Queensbury got their second try of the game but again the kick was missed.

The final try of the game came from Conor Laverick, as his side ripped the Queensbury defence apart and he then crossed under the sticks

Wyke Academy are top of Yorkshire Men's League Division Two by two points after not being in action last weekend. They lead Ossett Trinity Tigers, while Goole Vikings are third after losing 48-24 to York Acorns.
