AFTER an unhappy bank holiday weekend, West Bowling and Bradford Dudley Hill will be looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow in Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two.

Both sides are chasing promotion, and third-placed Bowling host strugglers East Leeds, while Hill are on the road again, this time at Hull Dockers.

Wests were chasing a fifth-straight victory last time out at Wigan St Judes, who leapfrogged them into second place with a 42-34 success.

Ryan Hunkin's men had produced a number of comebacks in their winning run and it looked like another was on the cards when they roared back from 36-16 behind with only 11 minutes left to cut the gap to just two points.

Nat Light, Danny Halmshaw and Ellis Bentley touched down in the Bowling rally to add to earlier tries from Kyle Moore, Jack Milburn and Halmshaw before a fourth try from Gavin Rodden eased the home side's nerves.

Dudley Hill were also leapfrogged by their opponents last week as they lost 18-12 at Barrow Island to leave the Bradford outfit fifth.

It looked like Hill would square the match at 18-18 with six minutes to go when Andy Walker looked a certain scorer only for prop Carl McBain to produce a stunning cover tackle.

Neil Wall and Callum Wilkins had earlier touched down for Bradford, Wall converting both, with loose forward Adam Jefferson being a standout player for them.

In Division Three, Drighlington will be aiming for a hat-trick of wins tomorrow but face the tough prospect of welcoming league leaders Hunslet Warriors.

Drig overturned a 10-8 deficit at Woolston Rovers last week to triumph 26-10 as Luke Smithson, Dan Sanderson and Gareth Nicholson got among the tries.

In the Yorkshire Men’s League there is a bumper weekend of fixtures, with Queensbury’s home tie against West Hull top of the bill in the Premier Division.
