BRADFORD Dudley Hill were the stars of the show under the Friday night lights with their third successive victory.

After a shaky start to the campaign, Dudley Hill now sit second in the Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two table having followed up their crucial derby win last weekend with another victory on Friday evening.

Dudley Hill welcomed Shaw Cross Sharks to their home venue, with team manager Steve Wright expecting a tough game.

The Sharks duly delivered, with Hill struggling to deal with their pace initially and Shaun Squires caused a lot of first-half trouble for the hosts.

Hill went ahead first through Ryan Dickinson in the 13th minute, with no extras added.

But, less than five minutes later the home side's task was made more difficult when Nathan Broadbent was sin-binned for punching.

The next action of the game saw Dudley Hills' numbers depleted further when Daniel Lee was sent to the bin for holding down.

A quickfire double, in the 28th and 33rd minute, from the Sharks' Dec Brereton and two follow-up conversions from Shaun Squires saw the visitors go 12-4 ahead.

Going into the break, Dudley Hill clawed four points back through Jamie Brentley and Shaw Cross were reduced to 12 when Andrew Tillotson was sin-binned for holding down.

The hosts had work to do in the second period when an early try for Sam Ottewell was followed-up once again by the impressive Shaun Squires.

But, after settling down, Dudley Hill eventually came through to win the arm wrestle.

It took until the 55th minute for the hosts to begin their comeback, in the form of an Aiden Batey try and Elliot Cousins conversion to take the score to 18-12 to Shaw Cross.

From there, the visitors provided little response with another three tries, and two successful Elliot Cousins's conversions, leading to a 30-18 win for Dudley Hill.

The final three tries in the ferocious fightback came courtesy of Daniel Lee and two from Andy Walker.
