KEIGHLEY-born prop forward Matt Ross is starting in the front row for England today (Friday) in the opening match of the Student Rugby League World Cup in Australia.
England are taking on the host nation – and reigning world champions – in a repeat of the 2013 World Cup final, at St Mary’s Stadium in Sydney.
Keighley-born half-back Ben Stead is expected to sit the game out, with Keiran Smith – who currently plays for Keighley Cougars Reserves – preferred in the scrum-half role.
The match kicks-off at 9.45am UK time, and will be available to watch live on the University RL Facebook page.
