A disappointing home display saw Victoria Rangers beaten 40-30 by Lincoln City Knights in the Yorkshire Regional Division of the RFL Summer Conference.
Rangers took an early 10-0 lead through tries by Steve Smith and Ben Kelly, converted by Luke Harps, and although Lincoln pulled back level, a Scott Watson try, goaled by Harps, gave Rangers a 16-10 interval lead.
But the second half saw the visitors edge in front as tries by Ross Mezals, Jason Dodd and Daniel Cookson could not rescue Rangers, who next host Scunthorpe Barbarians on Saturday (2.30pm).
