IN THE only Pennine League Division Two Central game which didn’t fall foul to the weather at the weekend, Queensbury got 2018 off to the perfect start by hammering Beeston Broncos 60-4 at home.
Bury's victory, achieved in chilly conditions, has lifted them to seventh.
Brighouse Rangers well to a 12-6 defeat at home to Siddal in the Championship Division.
That result means that only four points separate second place and eighth, with Brighouse remaining in third.
