Featherstone Rovers 76, Keighley Cougars 12
Keighley Cougars were routed tonight in the hastily re-arranged Co-operative Championship televised fixture at Bigfellas Stadium.
Half-back Liam Finn scored four of his side’s 13 tries as Featherstone Rovers maintained their 100 per cent record to pull four points clear at the top of the table.
Rovers never looked back after racing into a 12-0 lead inside ten minutes thanks to tries from Mike Coady and Kyle Briggs, both converted by Briggs, and they led 30-0 at the break.
Featherstone’s other try-scorers were Ian Hardman, Zak Hardaker (2), Iain Morrison, Dane Manning, Andy Kain and Briggs. Briggs kicked nine goals and Finn three.
Cougars grabbed consolation tries through Gavin Duffy and Danny Jones, who added both conversions to extend his scoring sequence to 41 matches.
