AN ABSOLUTELY anarchic game of football between two relegation rivals took place at Myra Shay on Tuesday night, but there were regrets for both Albion Sports and Rossington Main.
Incredibly, the match finished 5-5 in Bradford, with the pair each blowing a two-goal lead.
The upshot is that Rossington remain in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division drop zone, but Albion stay just a point and a place above them.
The visitors had begun to get on top on the artificial surface before Myron Gibbons gave them the lead on 15 minutes.
Albion instantly responded, equalising through Fernando Moke Tumba.
Rossington suffered a major setback when keeper Jonathan Hedge came off injured, which forced defender and skipper Reece Fielding to go in between the sticks.
Yet the visitors stormed into a 3-1 lead with two goals in first-half stoppage time from Dylan Mantle.
There was still time for another goal before the break, Ellis Wade grabbing that for Albion.
And the Bradford side equalised right at the start of the second half through Aran Basi.
That gave Sports the momentum and after having a goal ruled out, they hit the front after 76 minutes courtesy of Nathan Cartman.
When Felipe Castelo quickly added a fifth goal for the hosts, the game looked over.
But Gibbons had the last word, scoring twice in the last three minutes to secure a remarkable 5-5 draw for Rossington.
While Albion flounder at the wrong end of the table, Campion are looking increasingly likely to finish in the play-offs.
They stayed third after an excellent 2-1 win at promotion rivals Barton Town, courtesy of goals from Sonny Whittingham and Ewan Gregson.
Thackley were 1-0 down and second best at rock-bottom Wombwell Town until Toby Marriott turned home an equaliser after 56 minutes.

From there, the Dennyboys completely dominated, while they were practically hammering down the door when Wombwell had a player sin-binned late on.
The visitors finally broke through with the last kick of the match, striker Hass Gorji lifting a ball over the top beyond the keeper and scoring.
The 2-1 win sees Thackley move above Knaresborough Town and Frickley Athletic up to 11th in the table.
Leaders Liversedge saw their game at Sheffield called off shortly before kick-off after the referee deemed part of the pitch to be unplayable.
In Division One of the NCEL, Route One Rovers’ play-off hopes took a surprise hit with a 4-3 defeat at struggling Athersley Recreation.
The Bradford side were 3-2 up after 46 minutes through Saikou Sillah, Awais Khan and Reece Thompson, but a sin-bin and then a red card for Lamine Drammeh proved costly, as Athersley moved out of the relegation zone with a thrilling 4-3 win.
Silsden are now six points clear of the drop in the Northern Premier League East Division, following their magnificent 6-1 away win at fellow strugglers Newton Aycliffe on Tuesday night.
Kayle Price was the hero of the hour with a hat-trick, while Myles La Bastide, Jay Buchan and Jordan Carroll also found the net for the Cobbydalers.
