ECCLESHILL United have gone back to what they know, re-appointing Lee Elam as their manager, with Atif Hussain returning as his assistant.

On a weekend of sweeping change of the Eagles, the club announced the departure of Ryan Toulson on Friday, after just one season in charge.

Chairman Adrian Benson also stepped down from his role at the club.

Toulson guided a new-look side to an impressive run into the last-16 of the FA Vase, but the Bradford outfit struggled in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, coming 15th in the table.

Conversely, under Elam and Hussain in 2021/22, the Eagles finished second in the table, and only missed out on promotion after losing an inter-step play-off against Bedford-based side Kempston Rovers on penalties.

Elam was initially appointed by Eccleshill in May 2019, and after his departure following three years at the helm, he told the T&A he would not rule out a return one day.
