THE big non-league game taking place in the Bradford District today is Silsden's derby at home to Thackley.

This Northern Counties East League Premier Division clash brings with it several intriguing sub-plots.

It kicks off at 1:30pm, meaning both teams will be done for the day when the rest of the league is only just kicking off.

The match also sees the return of Danny Forrest to the Cobbydalers.

He has recently been appointed as the joint-manager of Thackley alongside Tom Greaves, but spent several years in the dugout at Silsden.

Even more intriguingly, the Cobbydalers' current bosses, Matt Cavanagh and Luke Lavery, led Silsden's West Yorkshire League team last season, while Forrest was in charge of the firsts.

The Cobbydalers are still targeting a top-two finish to earn themselves a promotion play-off spot, but a wobble in recent weeks means they could really do with all three points against Thackley.

But they are set to face a tough game against the Dennyboys, who are starting to put their fears of the drop behind them, having won both of their league games since Greaves and Forrest took charge.

Albion Sports visit relegation rivals Goole AFC this afternoon, and a victory could put the Bradford side as many as 10 points clear of safety.

Eccleshill United are also away, and they visit fellow mid-table team Hallam.

NCEL Division One leaders Campion host play-off chasing Horbury Town.

Brighouse Town are in the middle of the pack in the Northern Premier League East Division, and they will be expecting a home win over struggling North Shields this afternoon.

In-form Guiseley will be expecting their play-off push to continue with a win at relegation battlers Marske United.

Liversedge face a must-win home game against rock-bottom Belper Town, with Jonathan Rimmington's side sitting eight points from safety themselves.

Finally, third-bottom Farsley Celtic are hoping to beat Hereford at home today, as they face their own relegation fight in National League North.
