STEETON were scintillating in attack last season, but they have now seen key striker Kayle Price depart.

Price was the leading goalscorer in the North West Counties League First Division North last term, plundering 34 goals for Roy Mason's side.

But he has now moved on to pastures new, signing for Golcar United, who have just been promoted to the NWCFL Premier Division.

Mason took to Twitter after Price's departure, and said: "A great player and a great lad.

"(He) has been fantastic for the club over the past three seasons.

"Gutted to see him go, but hopefully this is another step on the ladder as he looks to progress his football career - go smash it KP."

In other football news from the district, Silsden have added to their new management team by appointing Aaron Beaumont as first-team coach.

He will combine his role at Silsden with youth coaching duties at Halifax Town.

Beaumont joins new joint-managers Matt Cavanagh and Luke Lavery, as well as player-coach Shaun Airey, as part of the new management team.

And a Liversedge player has followed in the footsteps of Bradford (Park Avenue)'s Brad Dockerty.

Dockerty, Avenue's top scorer last term, joined National League side Alfreton Town last Friday, and he has now been joined there by Lewis Whitham.

Whitham only signed for Sedge last November, but the young winger excelled, netting 12 goals in 26 appearances, and has now made a deserved step up.

Campion have also made further additions, with Garforth Town attacker Joe Colley and left-back Jack McGahan dropping down a level to play for the club in Division One of the Northern Counties East League next season.
