THE dates for the West Riding County Cup semi-finals have been announced.

In an exciting midweek double header, Farsley Celtic will host Brighouse Town on Tuesday, March 15, before Albion Sports entertain Liversedge on Wednesday, March 16.

Depending on the team National League North Farsley put out, NPL East Division side Brighouse are likely to be underdogs, especially given the Celts have won two of the last three editions of the competition.

Sedge are riding high at the top of Brighouse's division, and have a solid defence, having conceded just 17 times in the league all season, and a potent attack, which has hit 76 goals in only 26 games.

But they have only won the County Cup once, in 1990, so this is unfamiliar territory for them.

No-one expected Albion to get this far, with the Bradford side struggling towards the bottom of the NCEL Premier Division.

But they produced a superb win on penalties against National League North side Guiseley in the quarter-finals, so really have nothing to lose in this last-four clash.
