LIVERSEDGE are not messing around in their push for promotion from the NPL East Division, with the leaders making a double signing swoop last night.
Firstly, they have brought in former Bradford City and Guiseley centre-half Niall Heaton.
Heaton, who started out in Liverpool's academy and played for England Schoolboys, was due to feature for Sedge in their FA Vase campaign last year, but a bad injury had delayed the transfer until now.
The other new boy within the Sedge ranks is goalkeeper Max Dearnley, who has arrived on loan from Huddersfield Town.
Dearnley will offer much-needed cover for Sedge's regular keeper Jordan Porter, who is currently nursing an ankle injury.
The likelihood is that Huddersfield allowed Dearnley to go out on loan after Giosue Bellagambi went back there from his 28-day loan at Brighouse Town on Tuesday.
