ALBION Sports made a cracking start to their home clash with Garforth Town in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division on Saturday, but a second half collapse saw them lose 4-2.

Robbie Fox pounced on a mistake to put the Bradford side 1-0 up in the opening two minutes, before George Clarke was forced to pull off three good saves to keep them in front.

But after Albion went close a couple of times themselves, they did get a second when Fox rifled home just before the break.

It all went wrong in the second half though, as Jamie Barkway and Liversedge loanee Charlie Marshall levelled things up for Garforth less than 10 minutes into the second half.

Both sides had chances to get the crucial fifth goal of the game, and in the end it was Jed Zanos who put the visitors 3-2 up with five minutes to go.

A Sam Barker penalty in the last minute sealed the game once and for all.

Eccleshill United also let four goals in at home, as they crumbled to a 4-0 defeat against Maltby Main.

Reagan Waud put the visitors in front after 15 minutes, and a Johnathan Williams penalty made it 2-0 after half an hour.

Jonathan Hill made it 3-0 on 55 minutes, before Waud got his second moments later.

Thackley's patchy start to the season continued, as they lost 3-1 at home to Grimsby Borough.

Ben Grech-Brooksbank's penalty for the Dennyboys cancelled out an early Lewis Collins strike, but second half goals from Adam Drury and Richie Burdett sealed the game for Grimsby.

Silsden got their first three points of the season, after Joe Jagger's 39th minute winner saw them down Bottesford Town 1-0.

Campion's tough start in the North West Counties League First Division North continues. They made it three defeats from three after losing 2-1 at Bury AFC.

Aidan Kirby put the visitors in front with a penalty, but Bury hit back almost immediately through Greg Daniels.

Former Bradford (Park Avenue) striker Tom Greaves hit a second half winner for the hosts.

Steeton went 1-0 up at home to Golcar United through Ben Wignall, but Ashley Flynn equalised just before the break from the spot.

Flynn then went on to bag a last minute winner to break Chevrons hearts.

Liversedge marked their Northern Premier League East Division debut with a fine 2-0 win at Lincoln United courtesy of a Joe Walton double.

Brighouse Town drew their opening day game in that division 0-0 with Dunston.
