A FINE comeback by Thackley Reserves at Farsley Celtic Juniors Development in the West Riding County Women's Football League Second Division was the highlight of a depleted women's football programme.
Thackley were 2-1 down with 50 minutes gone, before storming to a 6-3 win. On target for Thackley were Jess Maurice (2), Hope Nicol, Tara Kirby, Lucy Turner and Vanessa Dunn.
Elsewhere, despite Charlotte Proud's goal, Brighouse Town found themselves 2-1 behind at half-time in an entertaining National League North tie with Chester-le-Street.
But second-half strikes from Emma Dobson and Chrysa Tsakiri put Town in front, as they held on for the 3-2 win.
The win was good preparation for next weekend's visit to Liverpool Feds in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup.
In the WRCWFL Shield, Silsden beat Hemsworth Town 3-1, with goals from skipper Sophie Fagan-Gaines, Megan Robson-Owens and Sophie Hawkins.
Elsewhere, Phoenix beat West End Terriers 11-2, and Farsley Junior Reserves won 3-0 on penalties after their game at Wetherby was goalless after 90 minutes.
